We exist so nothing important
goes unsaid.
FinalNote was founded in 2023 by people who had experienced, firsthand, the silence that follows a loss. We built the platform we wished had existed when we needed it most.
Our Story
In 2021, our co-founder Sofia Martins got a call on a Tuesday afternoon that her mother had collapsed at work. By the time she reached the hospital, her mother was gone. She was 42.
In the weeks that followed, Sofia found herself searching through her mother's phone for something — a note, an email, a voicemail she hadn't heard yet. She found nothing. Not because her mother didn't love her, but because none of us ever plan for the moment when we can no longer speak.
Two years later, FinalNote exists because of that search and what wasn't there. We believe the people we love should never have to search in silence.
What We Believe
Built with Love
FinalNote was born from a deeply personal desire to ensure that the people we love never have to wonder how we felt about them. Every feature is built with care and intention.
Privacy by Design
Your messages are yours. We use zero-knowledge architecture so that only you and your recipients can ever read what you've written. Not even we can access your data.
Human at its Core
We believe technology should serve humanity. FinalNote is a tool for connection, not surveillance. We will never monetize your personal data or sell your information.
Reliable When it Matters
Our infrastructure is built for 99.99% uptime because when the moment comes, your messages must arrive. We test, monitor, and improve constantly.
